Fishing equipment credit assistance for artisanal fishermen in the State of Sabah.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Aged 18 – 55 years
  • Malaysian citizen residing in and originating from the State of Sabah
  • A full-time fisherman
  • Holds a valid Boat Licence & Fishing Licence
  • Named as skipper / boat captain on the Fishing Licence

  • Malaysian citizen residing in and originating from the State of Sabah
  • Individual fishermen, groups, associations or institutions registered under the fisheries industry
  • Priority given to applicants who have already commenced downstream processing activities

Upgrading fisheries micro-entrepreneurs to a larger, competitive scale.

Target Group

  • i-Nelayan, i-Hiliran, i-Akuakultur participants who have achieved M40 income status
  • Graduates who have ventured into the fisheries field and achieved M40 income status
  • Graduates of the Akuasis entrepreneurship course at KATC
50/50 Grant Concept — the entrepreneur pays 50% of the credit value, with the remaining 50% provided in the form of a grant.
